If the chair powers on but does not move:

If there is a red X on the screen, the chair is in tilt lockout.

Step 1: Go to the seating function and bring the seatpan (tilt) back to the base, also bring the back (recline) to the upright position.

Step 2: The red X should change to a green circle.

Step 3: Go back to the drive function on the joystick and the chair should now drive.

When a “Brake 1 or 2 not connected” message appears on the joystick screen it means that one or both of the motors are not engaged on the power chair.

To clear the error follow these steps:

Step 1: Power the chair off.

Step 2: Ensure both motors are engaged by pushing the yellow handle on both motors into the locked padlock position.

Step 3: Power the chair back on.

This message occurs when pressure is applied to the joystick knob during the start-up process.

To clear this message: Release any pressure on the joystick knob for 5 seconds. The message will clear, allowing the chair to operate.

Step 1: Locate the paddle under the armrest.

Step 2: Open/flip the paddle to release the tension on the joystick bracket.

Step 3: Adjust the joystick to the desired position.

Step 4: Close paddle to lock in position. If the bracket is too tight/loose, with the bracket in the open position, turn the paddle clockwise to add tension or counter clockwise to loosen tension and then close to lock into place.

Step 1: Turn the chair off.

Step 2: Locate the plug connection between the seat frame and the drive base on the back of the chair.

Step 3: Unplug the connection and wait 30 seconds.

Step 4: Reconnect the connection.

Step 5: Power the chair back on.

Step 1: Locate the alignment arrow on the silver collar of the battery charger.

Step 2: Keeping the arrow on top, slide the plug into the joystick. The plug will be snug, but will slide in easily when properly aligned.

Step 3: Do not force the plug in as this may cause damage to the joystick and/or the charger.

Step 1: Locate the two adjustment nuts on the recline cable.

Step 2: To tighten the cable, unthread the silver nut one full turn and then snug the black nut back onto it to keep the adjustment in place. To loosen the cable, do the opposite.

It may take several adjustments to fine-tune the recline operation.

Step 1: Locate the adjustment bolt on the brake cable.

Step 2: To tighten the cable, unthread the silver collar one full turn and then snug the bolt back onto it to keep the adjustment in place. To loosen the cable, do the opposite.

It may take several adjustments to fine-tune the brake operation.

Step 1: Loosen the two screws in the track on the back.

Step 2: Repeat process on the bracket on the opposite side.

Step 3: Adjust back to desired setting, ensuring that the back is level.

Step 4: Tighten screws on both brackets.

Height:

Step 1: Loosen handle on headrest bracket located on the back of the chair.

Step 2: Set to desired height.

Step 3: Tighten handle to secure post in place.

Depth:

Step 1: Loosen the three screws on the triangular bracket.

Step 2: Slide bracket to desired depth setting.

Step 3: Tighten screws to secure bracket into place.

Headrest Pad Angle: 

Step 1: Loosen the three screws located on the back of the headrest pad.

Step 2: Set desired placement of the pad.

Step 3: Tighten screws to secure headrest into place.
